AS Roma 2-1 Man Utd

I know this thread is not supposed to be here. However, since I love Roma, even more than I love my fiancee (to a certain extent) I have decided to dedicate one thread to my beloved Roma.

Roma defeated Man Utd in a scintillating fashion in the massive Stadio Olimpico albeit crowd trouble (This is because of some stupid Man Utd supporters, even the Roma Ultras were good boys in the match)

Some people who are against my beloved Roma will be quick to point out that Roma's victory was due to the sending off of Scholes in the 34th minute for a clumsy challenge. I really beg to differ on this, Roma have sheer class.

The first goal came just before the half time break. Roma got a corner and took it quickly. Mancini danced around in the penalty box before crossing low to Rodrigo Taddei. Taddei calmly slotted the ball amidst the Man Utd players with the aid of a deflection. 1-0 at half time. The crowd trouble occurred shortly after this goal

Upon the start of the second half, Roma was really dominating the game. Only for a huge shock to happen at around the 60th minute. Rodrigo Taddei fired a weak free kick for Van der Sar to catch. Without hesitation, van der sar threw the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo who zipped past Roma's defence. He passed to Solskjaer, and he crossed to Rooney. With a great first touch, Rooney chested the ball and blasted the ball into the top corner of the far post. 1-1. Disappointing, but I must praise the swift counter attack executed by Man Utd.

Roma reacted by bringing in Mirko Vucinic to replace Taddei (Who had become zero from hero). Six minutes later, the substitution proved to be fruitful. Mancini blasted the ball goalwards. Van Der Sar could only parry the stinging shot and Vucinic was really quick to make full use of the rebound to slide and slot the ball into the net. 2-1, and this scoreline stayed until the end, with Roma dominating the game most of the time.

Man Utd, get ready to pack your bags. This year will be Roma's year. Man Utd, the first goal of the match was legitimate. There was only ONE ball on the pitch. Stop complaining and get ready for more bashing in front of your own fans at Old Trafford.

FORZA ROMA!!!!
